# Using the Client Portal

> A practical walkthrough of the Compliance OS Client Portal.

# Using the Client Portal

After signing in, the Client Portal acts as your launch point for Compliance OS.

## Confirm your client context

At the top of the portal, confirm that the organization shown is the organization you expect to work with. If the client context appears wrong, stop before opening or entering information and contact Cyber Op Source.

## Review available applications

The portal displays applications that are both enabled and authorized for your account.

Typical options include:

* Interview Application,
* Remediation Workspace,
* Security Program Hub.

A missing application may be intentional based on your role.

## Review your summary

The dashboard may show metrics, tasks, and activity collected from applications you can access.

Use summary information to identify where to go next, but open the source application before making a decision based on an item.

For example:

* select an assigned interview to continue the interview,
* select a pending remediation action to open the treatment,
* select a governance item to review it in the Security Program Hub.

## Partial availability

If one application is temporarily unavailable, the portal may still load information from other authorized applications. The portal should not replace missing source data with invented values.

If a metric or source is unavailable, retry later or open the application directly if it is available.

## Returning to the portal

Use your normal portal URL as your reliable starting point. Bookmark the client-specific entry point supplied by Cyber Op Source rather than a deep application URL.

This helps ensure that you enter the correct client context before moving into a child application.
